went to the UQ Art Museum

As I work at UQ (University of Queensland) I tend to get engrossed in work and forget the opportunties available to me.

Yesterday though, I made it in to the UQ art museum. The exhibitions here are always worthwhile visiting.

On at the moment is a large exhibition of Danie Mellor's work. An indigenous artist who works as a sculptor, painter, mosaic artist, visual artist.

In the corner you can see the pipe organ that is well known in musical circles and thrilled us when played for our graduations, when this building was Mayne Hall.

Just gorgeous. I recommend a visit.
