review our Easter break

What I did on my Easter break (in reverse order):

Stanthorpe has too many wineries on offer. We chose Ballandean and Symphony Hill and enjoyed wine tastings at both. Fortunately there was no RBT on the road this morning as there had been on the 2 previous mornings at 1000am.

To balance the wine, we had further tastings at this establishment. It was most impressive and offered all sorts of shopping opportunities. Chili, jams, chutneys, oils, fudge kitchen goods.

We gave Stanthorpe's Tourist Visitor Centre 10/10 ; clean loos, a cafe with a deck and noice view, and helpful ladies to point you in the right direction.

The town of Tingha had its main store open over the Easter weekend. Thank goodness, cos I really needed a sunhat.

We did encounter some beasts on the road, but were more worried about the roos.

On the road to Inverell

Dangar Gorge, 25 kms from Armidale. No water for the waterfall though.

Armidale orphanage that is now converted into luxury appartments.

Bluff rock with first showing of Autumn leaves.

Lunch at Wallangarra Railway station; on the border of Queensland and New South Wales.
We joined the nursing home bus group in the now restaurant and museum historic building.

Cunningham's Gap ahead. Gateway through the Great Dividing Range to the Darling Downs and the New England tableland.

We had a lovely time.

The End (or The Beginning)
